She/he will perform pediatric autopsiesincluding postmortem examination of perinatal cases. Surgicalpathology activities will focus on pediatric and perinatal cases,especially placentas and tumors of childhood.The appointee will work closely with clinical and research groupsat the American Family Children’s Hospital and the UW CarboneCancer Center. Ample opportunities exist for collaborativeclinical, translational and basic research projects.The laboratory processes approximately 50,000 surgical pathologycases per year, 3500 of which are from pediatric patients.Approximately 35 pediatric/perinatal autopsies are performedannually.
