Snarky Puppy Announces 2018 U.S. Tour Ahead Of Next Album Recording

first_imgSnarky Puppy have announced that they will be hitting the road for a U.S. tour in 2018 ahead of recording a new album! Before the three-time Grammy Award-winning group heads out on the official tour, they will play Carnegie Hall on January 25th in New York City, a show billed as “Snarky Puppy with David Crosby and friends.” After that, the band will host the 2nd annual GroundUP Music Festival in Miami Beach, FL February 9-11, 2018. The festival will feature a special set from Snarky each day along with performances from an eclectic list of international superstars including: The Wood Brothers; The Flecktones Trio feat. Béla Fleck, Victor Wooten and Futureman; Robert Glasper; Lionel Loueke; Joshua Redman; Buena Vista Social Club great Eliades Ochoa and many others. From there, the official U.S. tour kicks off with a two-night run at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, GA, and ends with a four-night run at SFJAZZ in San Francisco, CA. For a select number of dates, Snarky Puppy will be joined by Alina Engibaryan, Sirintip, and Banda Magda for support slots. This tour will all take place “leading up to [Snarky Puppy’s] next album recording,” according to the band’s Facebook post.
